MEMBERSHIP WITH THE TCI...creating a lifetime of friendships.

The Texas Club of Internists welcome you to explore one of the most dynamic medical professional and social organizations in Texas. As you get to know us, you will connect with medical families from every corner of the state and cultivate lasting friendships while brushing up on the latest scientific information. 

TCI membership consists of approximately 150 active internal medicine physicians with various types of specialties - including Adult Medicine, Infectious Disease, Pulmonary, Cardiology and Gastroenterology, just to name a few. Prospective members are nominated by members of the organization and elected by vote of the entire membership twice a year. Thus, due to our organizational bylaws, our nomination and review process a bit different than other associations.

The Club sponsors two meetings each year. The “in-state” meeting is held in early spring and the “out-of-state” meeting is held in the fall. We cherish the heritage that our long-time members continue to bring to the changing world of medicine and the continuum that only on-going relationships can provide. Our social events, including spouse participation, are an integral part of the meetings and serve to connect medical couples with each other, as well as provide a great venue for relaxing and having a memorable time. 

And in 2011, the Texas Club of Internists Foundation was formed as a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support the educational programs of the physician members of the TCI. Scholarships are given to the TCI to enhance the practice of Internal Medicine physicians throughout the state of Texas. Ongoing support to the mission of the TCI comes from annual dues payments, income from meeting registration fees and exhibitor partnerships, as well as through the generous donations of our members and the greater medical community. 

TCI clinical meetings are open to both members and non-members, so if you would like to learn more about the organization, please plan to join us in the Spring and/or Fall and see what TCI is all about!
